Love

Today - via the few degrees of separation  - I became friends on FB with the man who writes a blog. He lives on the other side of the Atlantic - and when I looked at his pictures I just knew he had a good heart and a beautiful soul. You can see it in his eyes. It's obvious. It could never be denied.

He has written this post - amongst many others - but this piece is about a love letter from his father to his mother. Please read it.

That's the kind of love that I'm looking for - and I won't rest until I find it.

  1. I read that letter and thought it a bit selfish. OK, everything worked out in the end but here is this bloke who was seeing this woman. For whatever reason it didn't work out and now that she is moving on and getting married he decided to write to her to say he made a mistake.

I know that we don't know the full facts but that could be read either way. Was this selfish and self serving or romantic?

  3. Christian - thank you for your kind words...you, too are lovely my dear friend :)

I thought about the letter in another way. I think sometimes we are afraid to reveal our true feelings - but in the end the fear of loss becomes bigger and when we realise what we may lose (the love of our lives) we have to take action - because if we didn't - we may never forgive ourselves. In this case the gentleman took the required action - expressed his love in beautiful words and won the heart of the lady. I remember when you and your beautiful wife were apart - before you reunited and made your lovely family. One of you needed the courage to make the re-connection - and look how happy you both are now. So - to answer your question I think it was romantic and brave......
